Cranswick was started in the 1970’s by a group of farmers in East Yorkshire. From a small feed milling business, the group moved into food production in the 1980’s and is now one of the UK’s leading fresh food producers.
With an annual turnover approaching £1.9 billion, Cranswick specialise in producing a range of high quality, fresh food including fresh pork and chicken; gourmet sausage and bacon; sliced cooked meats; charcuterie meats, olives & anti-pasti as well as handcrafted savoury pastry made at their Yorkshire Baker site in Malton. Their products can be bought from many of the UK’s grocery stores, as well as leading restaurants, fast food outlets and coffee shops & sandwich bars.
The business is still firmly rooted in Yorkshire with nine production sites and almost 7500 employees working across the county and we are proud to be able to support the Yorkshire Post Country Week Conference.
